Bill Hupp had identified family members in photos and added information for his own family.

Siblings Dennis Kohanek, Diane Kohanek Smith, and Maryann Kohanek Steen have helped to identify many photos, and have written biographies, one of which is of their grandfather William Kohanek.

Robert Kohanek ... of Longville, MN has given us his family information, heretofore unknown to the Frank Kohanek family tree. Aurelie Kohanek suggested I write to him, and once I did Bob Kohanek kindly responded with a prompt phone call and then a letter with his own family and his sister Joan's family information. This communication has added four generations -- thirty-five more family members. (Frank--William--Anthony--Edward--Robert)

Josephine Ann (Jo) Kingstedt Hoyhtya: Has added fifteen names, and we still don't have her grandchildren! so there will be another generation added as time goes by. Her mother was Anna Francis Kohanek. Jo has iniated a letter to me after I had sent a letter to Bill D. Kohanek, her cousin. (Frank--Edward--Anna--Josephine)

Carol Ann Heyer: is a cousin to Josephine and Bill, and also initated a letter in May based on information I sent to Bill D. Kohanek of Illinois. Carol will be following up with her family facts. (Frank--Edward--Charles--Carol)

Bill Kohanek: I wrote a letter to Bill based on an internet address from his Illinois antiques business. He wrote back to me, giving his family line. Within weeks I heard from Jo Hoyhtya and Carol Heyer, both Bill's cousins, and both women not yet on the Frank Kohanek family tree. This was a wonderful surprize.

Aurelie Kohanek: In January 2001 I contacted Aurelie and Curtis Kohanek of California, who added information to the Karl Kohanek & Kristina Schmalz (1st wife) family of Canada. Aurelie feels that Frank Kohanek, Sr. may have been a brother of Karl Kohanek. Before I met Aurelie, Lloyd Cohen contributed the Canada Kohanek tree. Lloyd's mother was Albertina Kohanek Cohen, grand-daughter of Karl Kohanek; I discovered Lloyd Cohen through an online tribute he wrote to his parents. As it has turned out, Aurelie's family and Lloyd's family are related. Adding much more to this tree is Lorne Karlowsky.

Thank you to Edward R. Kohanek for talking to me about his Texas Kohanek family. His father is Walter, who was born in Chicago, and his grandfather is Peter Kohanek. Edward has recently added the names of his children and grandchildren.

Thank you to Mary Kohanek Ostronic, great-great-granddaughter of Frank Kohanek, Sr., and Aunt of Chris Kohanek, who has provided more names and dates for the Nicholas branch. Mary and her mother do not know who the two children are who are listed under Frank Kohanek, Jr. and Marguaret Doerfler: Jean Antoine Kohanek (7/9/1888-9/10/1988) and Anthony George Kohanek (8/6/1889 - 9/10/1889). These two names are on Grandpa Leslie's genealogy chart and I don't know where else to put them so they do not get 'lost' -- so I'll leave them for now. We'll have to investigate this. Initially, Chris Kohanek of Long Beach, CA, and his father James of Florida provided names and dates for the heretofore unknown Nicholas branch. They added 3 generations, more than 30 names.

Thank you Craig Kohanek great-grandson of Andrew Kohanek, for offering information from his Northwestern Kohanek family. It seems that this Kohanek branch could be of the Canada branch but there is no link as of yet.

Thank you Denise for sending me family dates.

Thank you Shelly for your email to me updating your family birth dates.

Also we have added the Kohanek / Brinster Tree. There is much elaboration to do but this will start us off. Diane has added many dates.
