You all know that Julia plays soccer, Annie is a youth referee, and Jim and I've turned into fans. So, you won't be surprised that we're following the upcoming Women’s World Cup, which will be played in the United States this week. Making a long story short, we just learned that Julia will be one of 18 girls carrying a flag onto the field at the opening ceremonies this coming Sunday, September 21, 2003 and that I will be one of the two adults from our soccer club walking with them. The game almost certainly will be on television, although there is no guarantee that the opening ceremonies will be shown, since that's when they might have ads or commentary. However, you might want to look at your TV schedule for Sunday at noon eastern time to see what channel it's on just in case you get a glimpse of Julia or me on the field.
