Present Hon. Jno. W. Tattan, Judge

In the matter of the Application of Joe Kohanek in open Court February Term, A.D. 1906, this 15th day of March, A.D. 1906.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 15th day of March A.D. 1906 in open court, before Honorable Jno. W. Tattan Judge presiding, Joe Kohanek, an applicant to be made a citizen of the United States, appeared in person, accopanied by James Greenan and Paul Gritz his witnesses, and thereupon the Court made careful inquiry of the said applicant and each of his said witenesses, affidavits of said applicants and of both said witnesses were duly made and recorded herein, and from their testimony and other proofs, finds that the said Joe Kohanek was born in Germany on July 3, 1878. That he has resided in the United States continuously for more than five years last past, and within the State of Montana during one year last past; that he made his declaration under oath of intention to become a citizen of the United States on the 15 day of MarchA.D. 1906; *(that he resided in the United States continuously during the period of three years before coming to the age of twenty-one years and during said period it was bona fide his intention to remain permanently in the United States and become a naturalized citizen thereof); that said is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and is well disposed toward the good order and .... truth of every fact requisite for his naturalization, including those required to be proved and sworn to by the act of which affidavit is now of record in this Court.

And said applicant doth now in open court, absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to Emperor William of Germany whose subject he was, and has taken the oath in prescribed form that he will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

THEREFORE, It is by the Court ordered, adjudged and decreed that the said Joe Kohanek be, and he is hereby admitted and declared to be, a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The United States of America, State of Montana, Court of Valley ... the District Court of the Twelfth Judicial District of the State of Montana, in and for the County of Valley, said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law and Chaucery Jurisdiction and a Clerk and Seal, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and complete copy of the original order and decree of the said Court in the matter of the naturalization of Joe Kohanek on his application to become a Citizen of the United States of America, remaining in my office opon the records of the said District Court.
